Best Budget Tripod for Video? Takama Flip-Zip Review!
A good tripod is an absolute MUST for anyone producing video. These days, there are some great ‘all-rounder’ cheap tripod options available, and you can get your hands on something that will do the job for almost every non-professional shoot without breaking the bank.
Previously, for me, this ‘all-rounder’ was the Velbon EX-Mini. It was good. Reasonably priced. Nothing flash, but solid and reliable. It was good enough to recommend, and didn’t do enough wrong to warrant me spending more time looking at alternatives…
But that’s now changed… Adorama recently reached out and said ‘we’ve got something better’…. So they sent us out a free tripod to test – the Takama Flip-Zip tripod. And after using it regularly for a while, I’ve got to say – I agree with them!
It’s a great all-rounder and a solid portable tripod, but there are a few things anyone considering purchasing should know. Whether you’re in the market for a new tripod for your permanent video setup, a portable travel tripod you can take with you on the go, or a reliable cheap tripod you can use for all your video shoots – we put together this Takama Flip-Zip review to help you decide if it’s the best budget tripod for your videos.
