TikTok is a search engine, just like YouTube for example. Its job is to get the right content in front of the right people at the right time.
So let’s jump over to TikTok and take a look.
PRO TIP: We prefer using the mobile app instead of the desktop TikTok app version as we’ve found there’s more on the mobile version.
When you start searching for something in the search bar, all of those suggested searches are terms that TikTok users are searching for. So this is a great place to go for content ideas and keywords.
If you scroll down, you’ll also see a section called Others Searched For. This gives you even more phrases and keywords that TikTok users are searching for.
All of these keywords, phrases and terms are things you want to create content around and also optimize that content for.

Step #2: Content Creation with TikTok SEO
Now that you’ve got your list of keywords, the next step in your TikTok marketing strategy is to create content on each of those topics.
When planning your video, you want to include those keywords in several areas:
- The first sentence of your video
- The title of your video
- The description of your video

- Which videos didn’t work well?
- How many people viewed them?
- How many people liked them?
Once you’ve figured this out, you can create more of the content that worked well and less of the content that didn’t work well.
For example, The Jordana Grace, found that her most popular videos were around ‘Things They Should Tell You Before Traveling To Australia’. So now she knows to create more videos on this topic.
She used this strategy to make over 800 videos (so far!) and they’ve consistently been successful for her. This style of video proved really popular with her audience, and now people go to her specifically for that content.
So over time, you’ll start to get a really good idea of what type of content your TikTok audience wants. But it’s a good idea to continue to do this review every month so you can stay on top of any changes.
You need to find what works for you – what your target audience is looking for and what they’ll keep coming back to you for.
Then repeat this process and watch as your TikTok account grows your business and brand!
